Thanksgiving:
(1) A blessed Youth Worship Service/ Fundraising Evening: reassuring God's grace and wonders, reassuring the love in our worship team, and further developing the 默契 between Rev. Paul and us.

(2) An encouraging show-out at our first study group session this year! May all youths who wish to push themselves to study harder and to experience the love of gaining knowledge please join us!

(3) We almost forgot to thank 大哥, Michael Yen, and 趙媽媽(Clement's mother) explicitly for having been so supportive over this past summer's softball games, in preparing equipment, water, and food! Let's keep them at heart. We would've missed out on all the bloopers during softball if it wasn't for them :) (i.e. 阿德事件, for those who know)

The journey of faith is marked by several signpost. 'Listening', 'Pursuing', and 'Meeting' represent a certain progression in faith. Where we are on this journey are all different. God honours our faith, great or small.

But, A life that is touched by Jesus is not the same as before. It is a completely transformed life where all our old assumptions and priorities give way to the new understanding and vision of the coming kingdom of God.

It is a life where one can boldly proclaim that, 'Thanks be to God that I was once blind, now that I see.' It is also a life where one is willing to tell others to 'come and see Jesus for yourselves'

When we are born , Jesus know us already.
So if we believe in him = we believe in God.

I believe that Jesus gonna care for me.

Thank you Aunt Doris for the translations! It's helping me save a lot of time reading :)

This passage and the discussion reminds me of a more evangelical approach to Christian faith, kinda emphasizing this "turning point" where one has experienced Jesus Christ "personally".

I guess it can be said that I have had a personal experience in my life where I've come to realize my sins and my infinite limitations in face of God, but I think it's not that clear-cut that right after that, everything in my life has changed.

I still believe there is a gradual changing process where one's understanding and faith in God is solidified, strengthened and allowed to mature. Then, one relies less on an emotional drive (which can oftentimes be fluctuating), but rather on a rational understanding which allows one to remain consistent despite daily uncertainties of conditions.

The experience of Christ is then less so a feeling of happiness, but rather of joy. I don't know if this elucidates it clearer.

From today's reading, it kind of made me think about how we live our lives. It is certainly our responsibility and duty as Christians to spread the gospel to unbelievers.
We have the Bible from which God teaches us his words. But what do the non-Christians have? Nothing but their eyes. They watch us daily and so we must spread the gospel with our lives. What have we that others do not? What makes Christians so special?
"Preach the gospel with your life. If necessary, use words."
But when it comes a time when we really need to use words to speak of others of Jesus, we must be ready. So that is why we must come before the Lord daily for him to renew our strength and to build our faith and our relationship with Him. May we all continue to grow in Christ!

BTW, thanks to auntie Doris for translating! =) Really appreciate it. Makes reading much smoother. May the Lord commemorate her service.
