Thank God for His words for me today.
These past few weeks I have just been so caught up with my studies. These midterms just seem to be never-ending. It seems like I'm in my own bubble. On one hand, I know that it is my duty as a student to do well in school for God's glory. On the other hand, it seems like I'm just so busy doing my own things that I don't spend the time to show God's love to the people around me. God's purpose in my life is much greater than what is before me. So balance is something I must learn.
From the way I am living my life, it seems like I'm just so caught up with only the tip of the iceberg, while there is so much more underneath. I just pray to God that I may just give my best in all that I do and that I will leave the rest to God. Pray that God will help me see the greater picture of what He is trying to accomplish so that I may do what pleases Him.
God truly is a god that listens to our prayers. Today's praise led by Aaron was especially touching, reminding me how the things that prayer does, my hands cannot do. I am so limited by what I can do, but I must rely on God in prayer to receive the strength to do what I do each day.
God is good. His love never fails.
As an adopted child of God, my status hinges on His grace and mercy alone. Nothing to boast, nothing to deprecate.
What is this freedom born of truth? Aren't we all too acquainted with the truth which has been rampantly used to humiliate others and to stifle their voices, even their ways of life? Must any sentiment or experience which is not of light or of wholesomeness be deemed result of the bondage of sin? The freedom that Jesus spoke of is not a perpetual state of joy and peace and success corresponding neatly to our devotion and effort. It is the freedom of faith, freedom to trust in him even when darkness surrounds and suffering is the only condition. Freedom to continue to learn and to reach beyond, even after Jesus rebuked and pierced me with harsh words.
Freedom is needed to love.
I have troubles, but I am free to love, to love God. I will scream without raising my voice, but I will not be stuffed with a jollily packaged truth. We cannot possess God nor claim status in God's family. It is given. It is the grace of Jesus Christ. and thanks be to God, we are free to receive.
I have read a book lately,"The longest trip home" by John Grogan. His debut bestseller is Marley & me.
This book is his memoir, he was raised by a Catholic family. His parents were very devout of God's words, and act in their daily life. They taught their children by love and the faith to God.
This book is for who has saught to forge and identify at odds with their parents and for every parent who has struggle to understand the value of their children. This book talk about morality and grace, spirit and faith, and the powerful love of family.
It makes me assure that to build up a faith and religion life for myself and my daughter is very important. It helps us stronger to face difficulties in our life, to find a wisdom way from God to solve problems, to give thanks in all circumstances...
Love in Christ
2. 務要牧養在你們中間神的群羊,按著神旨意照管他們;不是出於勉強,乃是出於甘心;也不是因為貪財,乃是出於樂意;
