徹底的愛」
主耶穌為門徒洗腳，甚至為將要出賣他的門徒猶大洗腳，展示了上帝是如何的一位上帝，展示了門徒應該要效法主的榜樣。脫去衣服，用手巾束腰，是奴僕侍候主人的裝束﹝路12:37﹞，代表著徹底的謙卑；另一方面，洗腳是妻子為丈夫、兒女為父母又或學生為老師做的事，代表著一份親密的關係。
為門徒洗腳後，主耶穌說：「我所做的，你如今不知道，後來必明白。」主耶穌為門徒洗腳所展示的「徹底的愛」，只有當主耶穌被釘十字架、死而復活、且聖靈臨到門徒身上的時候，他們才能夠真正完全明白何謂「徹底的愛」。
因此，當主耶穌說：「我若不洗你，你就與我無份了」，意思是只有接受和跟隨主耶穌為門徒洗腳的謙卑樣式，只有徹底地彼此相愛，才能夠在主裡有份。「你們既知道這事，若是去行，就有福了。」亦道出「徹底的愛」的真諦以及如何在主裡有份，就是要付諸實行。
我記得一生當中第一次被洗腳的經驗 ,我也洗同工的腳 , 是在2008 年 4 月耶穌復活的星期五晚上的團契聚會當中, Paul 吳牧師第一個洗我的腳 , 我也洗團契輔導老師的腳 , 然後一個又接一個洗契友的腳 . 洗下去直到水髒了,又倒掉換新 .我那時候真的很感動 ,你若不關心一個人並且愛他 , 你很難為他洗腳 . 因為那不是一件容易做到的事 , 除非你願意”彎下腰 “ 又願意來” 服事”他 .
願我們在教會或者在生活中 , 學習主耶穌的謙卑和虛己 , 實踐 “ 彼此洗腳 “ 與幫助 , 來見證主的愛活在我們的生命當中
Very often out pride gets into the way of us being able to be humble. It's just not something that is of this world: having the master serve the servants. Pray that whenever we are arrogant and pride comes upon us that God may break us down, and that we may learn from Jesus' ways.
Please pray for Paul. His condition is getting much worst. We are deciding whether to go to emergency or not. Thank you.
Jesus knew he had come from God and was returning to God. This makes me think about whether I too know where I had come from and where I am going. Am I conscientious of what I do with this knowledge? Knowing where he had come from and where he was going determined Jesus' every acts. It enabled him to love to full extend, to the last. Untiringly, he bends down to serve, to wash, to clean, purifying his disciples through his every gestures.
Each encounter with Jesus is purifying, and each encounter with others in our daily life is as sacred and purifying. We are humbled and encouraged.
Thank you Jesus for my coworkers and for the people with whom I will talk to today. Thank you Jesus for the absence and presence of those sisters and brothers who strain to relate to you. You tilt and stir hearts with your mercy.
Pray for Paul. He finally got some sleep.
他既然愛世間屬自己的人，就愛他們到底
今天就這一句話就夠我用了，期勉我們每一個同工面對神所交付的羊，應當愛他們，且愛到底！
沒有一個同工是偶然被選的，反言之，每一個被選出的同工，都是神所重用的，願耶穌為門徒洗腳的榜樣，成為我們的學習！
為牧師身體欠安，迫切禱告！
Prayer request:
Thank you for everyone's prayers. Paul has seen the doctor and is now being treated with antibiotic. With some more rest, he should recover soon.
Courage to face what is coming and to put down one's own grip on life: it takes a great deal of maturity to apply this courage in life, for all things. May God help us work for it!
