25:14 「天國又好比以下的故事：有一個人要出外旅行，他叫僕人來，把產業交給他們。25:15 他按照他們各人的才幹，一個給了五千塊金幣，一個給了兩千，一個給了一千，然後動身走了。25:16 那領五千塊金幣的，立刻去做生意，另外賺了五千。25:17 同樣，那領兩千塊金幣的，另外也賺了兩千。25:18 可是那領一千塊金幣的，出去，在地上挖了一個洞，把主人的錢埋起來。25:19 「過了許久，那幾個僕人的主人回來，跟他們結帳。25:20 那領五千塊金幣的進來，帶來了另外的五千，說：『主人，你給我五千塊金幣，你看，我另外賺了五千。』25:21 主人說：『很好，你這又好又可靠的僕人！你在小數目上可靠，我要委託你經管大數目。進來分享你主人的喜樂吧！』25:22 那領兩千塊金幣的進來，說：『主人，你給我兩千塊金幣，你看，我另外賺了兩千。』25:23 主人說：『很好，你這又好又可靠的僕人，你在小數目上可靠，我要委託你經管大數目。進來分享你主人的喜樂吧！』25:24 這時候，那領一千塊金幣的僕人也進來，說：『主人，我知道你是個嚴厲的人；沒有栽種的地方，你要收割，沒有撒種的地方，你也要收聚。25:25 我害怕，就把你的錢埋在地下。請看，你的錢就在這裏。』25:26 他的主人說：『你這又壞又懶的僕人！既然你知道我在沒有栽種的地方也要收割，沒有撒種的地方也要收聚，25:27 你就該把我的錢存入銀行，等我回來的時候，可以連本帶利一起收回。25:28 你們把他的金幣拿過來，給那個有一萬塊金幣的。25:29 因為，那已經有的，要給他更多，讓他豐富有餘；而那沒有的，連他所有的一點點也要奪走。25:30 至於這個無用的僕人，把他趕到外面的黑暗裏去；在那裏，他要哀哭，咬牙切齒。』

The Parable of the Talents

¹⁴"Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. ¹⁵To one he gave five talents^{a]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[a]} of money, to another two talents, and to another one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. ¹⁶The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. ¹⁷So also, the one with the two talents gained two more. ¹⁸But the man who had received the one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master's money.

¹⁹"After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. ²⁰The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.'

²¹"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

²²"The man with the two talents also came. 'Master,' he said, 'you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'

²³"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'

²⁴"Then the man who had received the one talent came. 'Master,' he said, 'I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. ²⁵So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'

²⁶"His master replied, 'You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? ²⁷Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

²⁸" 'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. ²⁹For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. ³⁰And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

25:1 「在那日，天國好比以下的故事：有十個少女手裏拿著油燈，出去迎接新郎。25:2 其中五個是愚笨的，五個是聰明的。25:3 愚笨的帶了燈，卻沒有預備足夠的油；25:4 聰明的帶了燈，另外又帶幾瓶油。25:5 新郎來遲了，少女們都打盹，睡著了。25:6 「到了半夜，有人呼喊：『新郎到啦，你們都出來迎接他！』25:7 十個少女都醒過來，挑亮她們的燈。25:8 那時候，愚笨的對聰明的說：『請分一點油給我們吧，因為我們的燈快要熄滅了。』25:9 那些聰明的回答說：『不行，我們的油實在不夠分給你們，你們自己到鋪子裏去買吧。』25:10 愚笨的少女去買油的時候，新郎到了。那五個有準備的少女跟新郎一起進去，同赴婚宴，門就關上了。25:11 「其他的少女隨後也到了。她們喊著：『先生，先生，請給我們開門！』25:12 新郎回答：『我根本不認識你們。』」25:13 耶穌說：「所以，你們要警醒，因為你們並不知道那日子、那時間會在甚麼時候來臨。」

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

¹"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. ²Five of them were foolish and five were wise. ³The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. ⁴The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. ⁵The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

⁶"At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here's the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!'

⁷"Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. ⁸The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.'

⁹" 'No,' they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.'

¹⁰"But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

¹¹"Later the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!'

¹²"But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I don't know you.'

¹³"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

24:45 「那麼，誰是又可靠又機智的僕人呢？就是受主人指派來管理其他僕人、按時分配糧食的那一個人。24:46 主人回來的時候，看見這僕人這樣忠於職守，這僕人是多麼有福啊！24:47 我實在告訴你們，主人要派他管理所有的產業。24:48 但是，如果他是一個壞僕人，他會在心裏盤算，『也許主人不會那麼早回來』，24:49 於是動手毆打其他的夥伴，跟酒徒吃喝玩樂。24:50 可是在他料想不到的日子，在他不知道的時間，主人回來了。24:51 主人要重重地責打他，使他跟假冒為善的人一同受刑罰；在那裏，他要哀哭，咬牙切齒。

45"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' 49and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

24:36 「至於那要臨到的日子和時間，沒有人知道；天上的天使不知道，兒子也不知道，只有父親知道。24:37 人子的來臨要像挪亞時代所發生的事一樣。24:38 洪水沒有來以前，人照常吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亞進入方舟那一天；24:39 他們糊裏糊塗，洪水來了，把他們都沖走。人子的來臨也是這樣。24:40 那時候，兩個人在田裏工作，一個被接去，另一個留下；24:41 兩個女子在推磨，一個被接去，另一個留下。24:42 所以，要警醒，因為你們不知道主要在哪一天來臨。24:43 要記住這一點：一家的主人要是知道小偷晚上甚麼時候要來，他一定會警醒，不讓小偷破門而入。24:44 所以，你們也應該隨時準備好，因為人子要在你們料想不到的時間忽然來臨。」

³⁶"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,^{f]" style="font-size: 0.75em; line-height: 0.5em; ">[f]} but only the Father. ³⁷As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ³⁸For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;³⁹and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. ⁴⁰Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. ⁴¹Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

⁴²"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. ⁴³But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. ⁴⁴So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

“五榖、新酒和油” Grain, New Wine, and Oil

Grain, New Wine, and Oil

Scriptures: Joel 2: 18-27

18 Then the LORD will be jealous for his land
and take pity on his people.

19 The LORD will reply to them: 


"I am sending you grain, new wine and oil, 


enough to satisfy you fully; 


never again will I make you 

an object of scorn to the nations.

20 "I will drive the northern army far from you, 


pushing it into a parched and barren land, 


with its front columns going into the eastern sea

and those in the rear into the western sea.

And its stench will go up; its smell will rise." 

Surely he has done great things.

21 Be not afraid, O land; 


be glad and rejoice. 

Surely the LORD has done great things.

22 Be not afraid, O wild animals, 


for the open pastures are becoming green. 


The trees are bearing their fruit; 

the fig tree and the vine yield their riches.

23 Be glad, O people of Zion, 


rejoice in the LORD your God, 


for he has given you 

the autumn rains in righteousness.

He sends you abundant showers, 

both autumn and spring rains, as before.

24 The threshing floors will be filled with grain; 

the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.

25 "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— 


the great locust and the young locust, 


the other locusts and the locust swarm —

my great army that I sent among you.

26 You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, 


and you will praise the name of the LORD your God, 


who has worked wonders for you; 

never again will my people be shamed.

27 Then you will know that I am in Israel, 


that I am the LORD your God, 


and that there is no other; 

never again will my people be shamed.

22 田 野 的 走 獸 啊 ， 不 要 懼 怕 ； 因 為 ， 曠 野 的 草 發 生 ， 樹 木 結 果 ，
無花果樹、葡萄樹也都效力。
23 錫 安 的 民 哪 ， 你 們 要 快 樂 ， 為 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 的 　 神 歡 喜 ； 因 他
賜給你們合宜的秋雨，為你們降下甘霖，就是秋雨、春雨，和先
前一樣。
24 禾 場 必 滿 了 麥 子 ； 酒 醡 與 油 醡 必 有 新 酒 和 油 盈 溢 。
25 我 打 發 到 你 們 中 間 的 大 軍 隊 ， 就 是 蝗 蟲 、 蝻 子 、 螞 蚱 、 剪 蟲 ，
那些年所吃的，我要補還你們。
26 你 們 必 多 吃 而 得 飽 足 就 讚 美 為 你 們 行 奇 妙 事 之 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們

In the midst of suffering when others taunt the people of God, saying, “ Where is their
God?” God replies to His people, saying, “ I am sending you grain, new wine and oil,
enough to satisfy you fully” (Joel 2:19)

在苦難中，人們羞辱嘲笑上帝的百姓說:「他們的 神在哪裡呢?」上帝應允祂的百姓

說:「我必賜你們五穀、新酒和油，使你們飽足」(約珥書2:19)
1 . Grain, new wine, and oil represent God’ s concrete and abundant blessings to the
Israelites

五穀、新酒和油代表上帝對以色列百姓實際又豐盛的祝福

These three were the premium agricultural produces for the Israelites at that time.
對當時的以色列百姓來說，這三樣東西是最主要的農產品
These blessings were possible only after a period of peace, stability, and rain.
這些祝福只有在一段太平、安穩的日子之後，再加上充分的雨水才有可能實

2 . These blessings come only after repentance, and acknowledgement of God’ s total
sovereignty

這些祝福只有在悔改，承認上帝攏總的主權之後才會臨到

Repentance was the primary requirement before the blessings - "return to me with
all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning." (v.12)

God is in total control! Even the locus armies were part of God’ s will.

3 . What these blessings mean for us here, today.
此時此刻，這些祝福對咱來講有什麼意義

Imagine three concrete blessings that you most need and want, God is willing to
give you more than enough to ‘ satisfy you fully’ (v.19).
想像一下，你最需要、最想得到的三樣實際的祝福，上帝願意成就賜下使你

Both suffering and blessing are part of God’ s design for us to eventually
acknowledge that God “ is the LORD our God, and there is no other.” (v.27)

Rejoice and be glad. When we are right with God, when we are willing to give ourselves
to God, God’ s blessings to us is beyond our expectation.
當歡喜快樂。我們與上帝的關係若是四正，我們若願意將自己交託給上帝，上帝所
要給我們的祝福將會超越我們所期待的。

24:29 「那些災難的日子一過去，太陽就要變黑，月亮不再發光，星星從天上墜落，太空的系統也都要搖動。24:30 那時候，人子來臨的記號要在天際出現。地上萬族萬民都要哀哭；他們要看見人子充滿著能力和榮耀駕著天上的雲降臨。24:31 號角的聲音要大響，他要差遣天使到天涯海角，從世界的這一頭到世界的那一頭，召集他所揀選的子民。」 24:32 「你們要從無花果樹學一個教訓。當枝子呈現嫩綠的顏色，長出新葉的時候，你們知道夏天就要到了。24:33 同樣，你們看見這一切現象就知道時候快到了，就在門口了。24:34 你們要記住：這一代的人還沒有都去世以前，這一切事就要發生。24:35 天地要消失，我的話卻永不消失。」

24:15 「你們看見先知但以理所說的那『毀滅性的可憎之物』站在神聖地方的時候，24:16 住在猶太地區的，該逃到山上避難；24:17 在屋頂上的，不要下到屋子裏去拿東西；24:18 在農場的，也不要回家拿外衣。24:19 在那些日子裏，懷孕的女人和哺育嬰兒的母親就苦了！24:20 你們要懇求上帝不讓這些事在冬天或安息日發生。24:21 因為那些日子的災難是創世以來未曾有過的，將來也絕不會再有。24:22 要是上帝沒有縮短那些災難的日子，沒有人能夠存活。但是為了他所揀選的子民，上帝會縮短那些日子的。24:23 「如果有人對你們說：『瞧，基督在這裏！瞧，基督在那裏！』不要相信他。24:24 因為假基督和假先知將出現，他們要行大的神蹟奇事來迷惑人；可能的話，甚至迷惑上帝所揀選的子民。24:25 記住！我已經預先警告你們了。24:26 「如果有人告訴你們：『瞧，基督在曠野！』你們不要出去；或者說：『瞧，基督在屋子裏！』你們也不要相信。24:27 因為人子來臨的時候會像閃電一樣，一剎那間，從東到西橫掃天空。24:28 「屍首在哪裏，禿鷹也會聚在那裏。」
