The Most Precious Gift 最珍貴的禮物

Scripture:

John 1: 1-13

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
4In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The light shines in the darkness, but
the darkness has not understood it.
6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. 7He came as a witness
to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. 8He himself
was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9The true light that gives light to
every man was coming into the world.
10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not
recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
become children of God— 13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision
or a husband's will, but born of God.

Luke 18: 15-17

15People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples
saw this, they rebuked them. 16But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the
little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to
such as these. 17I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like
a little child will never enter it."

太初有道，道與神同在，道就是神。

這道太初與神同在。

萬物是藉著他造的；凡被造的，沒有一樣不是藉著他造的。

生命在他裡頭，這生命就是人的光。

光照在黑暗裡，黑暗卻不接受光。

有一個人，是從神那裡差來的，名叫約翰。

這人來，為要作見證，就是為光作見證，叫眾人因他可以信。

他不是那光，乃是要為光作見證。

那光是真光，照亮一切生在世上的人。

他在世界，世界也是藉著他造的，世界卻不認識他。

10 他到自己的地方來，自己的人倒不接待他。
12 凡 接 待 他 的 ， 就 是 信 他 名 的 人 ， 他 就 賜 他 們 權 柄 ， 作 神 的 兒 女 。

11 這等人不是從血氣生的，不是從情慾生的，也不是從人意生的，

13 乃是從神生的。

路加福音 18:15-17

有人抱著自己的嬰孩來見耶穌，要他摸他們；門徒看見就責備那些人。

耶穌卻叫他們來，說：讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要禁止他們；因為在神國的正是這樣的人。

我實在告訴你們，凡要承受神國的，若不像小孩子，斷不能進去。

Sermon Outline:

The most precious gift that God has given to humanity is Jesus Christ His Son. Not too
many knew him, and not too many received him. But for those who received him, God
gave them the “right to become children of God”. (John 1:12)

上帝賜給人類最珍貴的禮物就是耶穌基督，祂的獨生子。認識祂的不多，接受相信

祂的也不多。但是，「凡接待祂的，就是信祂名的人，祂就賜他們權柄作 神的兒

女」(約翰福音1:12)

1 . Receiving the kingdom of God like a little child

像小孩子一樣的相信接受上帝的國度
• Children trust their parents with simplicity
• 小孩單純地相信父母
• Children receive gifts with abundant joy
• 小孩歡歡喜喜地接受禮物

2 . Receiving Jesus as the gift from God

接受耶穌是從上帝而來的禮物
• Jesus is the light of the world – “The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness
has not understood it.” (John 1:5)
• 耶穌是世界的光--「光照在黑暗裏，黑暗卻不接受光。」(約翰福音1:5)
• Receiving Jesus through faith
• 用信心接受耶穌

3 . Giving thanks to God
感謝上帝
• The kingdom of God belongs to even those insignificant in people’s eyes.
• 上帝的國度也屬於那些被人們瞧不起的。
• Showing our thanksgiving by passing on the gift with generosity
• 將禮物慷慨地傳遞給他人，來表達我們對上帝的感謝

Let us keep our ‘cup’ small so the blessing from God could overflow from us to others.
讓我們把自己的「杯子」縮小，好讓上帝的恩典從我們的杯子滿溢出來流給他人。
